Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is situated in a friendly market town with a handy location at the heart of the main street. While the rooms had outdated furnishings and issues with temperature control in the shower, the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, making up for the room shortcomings. The dining offered a fair selection, but mishaps with breakfast orders were noted. The hotel's facilities, including room service and housekeeping, were commendable.
The hotel is in a vibrant location, perfect for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone and surrounded by pubs, restaurants, and shops. The rooms, though a bit small, were clean and provided ample hot water for showers. However, facing the pub courtyard meant enduring loud DJ music and drunken guests until 1 AM, which was a downside.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were gorgeously decorated and spacious, with sparkling white sheets and a comfy bed. However, the overall cleanliness was a major issue with dirty showers, stained and chipped surfaces, and a lack of basic amenities like shower gel. The smell of dampness added to the discomfort.
The hotel rooms were directly off the courtyard, making it extremely noisy due to a party in the function room opposite on both nights of our stay. Despite the noise, the staff seemed overwhelmed by the amount of guests. The location was convenient and dog-friendly, with plenty of power sockets for our needs.
